Just Peachy Popsicles
Our sweet neighbors give us peaches from their tree and the weather is finally warming up so it’s time for popsicles! We purchased popsicle molds from TJ Maxx for right around $5. This recipe uses peaches since we had them but you can use any berries that you love. We certainly change up this recipe whenever we like and with whatever’s in season.
Ingredients
2 cups frozen peaches (or fruit of choice)
1 cup full fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon local honey (we purchase ours at our local Country Store Health Foods)
Splash of oat milk (or any dairy or dairy-free alternative that you love)
Make
Blend together and pour into molds. For added fun, let your kiddo pour! This is messy and delightful. Jack loved having the freedom to pour the mix into his very own popsicle molds. He also stuck his fingers into the mixture and drank it straight out of the pitcher. Another bonus is running around the kitchen squealing while the blender sings its loud tune.
Health benefits + extras
Peaches promote skin, eye function as well as lower inflammation in the body and improve your immune system. They are a great source of fiber as well.
Full fat Greek yogurt is packed with protein and great fat. We eat mostly a high fat, high protein diet. Good fats from Greek yogurt keep you fuller longer, lower blood pressure and improve gut health. We’ve noticed the gut health benefits the most! Having a healthy gut improves your mental health and who doesn’t need some of that in their life!
Extras you can add to this recipe to make it even better would be chia seeds or protein powder. I will be sharing our favorite brands with you as we get further along in sharing our family favorite foods with you all on this blog!
